TRAIL RIDE EXPERIENCE

Available to riders and new riders under 200 pounds. Our most popular ride spends a lot of time in the water at the confluence of the Gila and Colorado Rivers know locally as Shit Creek. (Other rides available.)

Meet and greet at the ranch where goats, a pig and some fun, crazy dogs will say hello and retrieve balls.

ADVENTURE PART 1:  Your time with us begins with brushing your horse and helping us saddle up. Helmets are included and required (insurance regs). You are invited to show us your riding skills such as left and right turns and a stop. We offer a mini lesson for the new rider $50. You'll learn the above plus get experience up and down a hill, negotiate a few obstacles and go just a bit faster. Our reviewers were very happy with the confidence the mini lesson offered. Mini lesson will be prorated if rider needs just a tune up.

ADVENTURE PART 2: We'll load the horses into a trailer and if you have brought a vehicle, you'll follow us to the trail head about 12 miles away passing over dirt roads into the back country through ag fields and viewing irrigation ditches. No 4WD needed.

ADVENTURE PART 3: The trail ride runs a full hour up and down hills, through the river, the desert, tall brush, shorter brush with an optional narrative including jokes, funny stories, local history and things to do suggestions. You won't get wet unless the water is high enough, see pic below. We'll let you know when you book.

SAYING GOODBYE:  No need to return to the ranch. We'll bring the horses home and take care of them. Sometimes we all go out to lunch or you can depart from the trail head where you'll be near the Yuma Palms Mall.

A typical ride includes myself and three others so individual attention is no problem.
